Masterclass – Embroidery on fleecy fabric/towel

Embroidery on fleecy fabric/towel

You can download “I love my dog” embroidery design for free with any purchase.

For your embroidery you can use different kinds of fabric including a fleecy fabric. However, when you use the fleecy fabric/towel, there is a little tip: you have to put a water-soluble stabilizer on the top of your fabric. For example, you can use Madeira Avalon Film water soluble embroidery stabilizer or Thermoplastic film Gunold Thermofilm for machine embroidery. You should use thermoplastic stabilizer with velvet fabric and other sorts of fabric that can’t be washed.

In our masterclass we used a towel. So, we could use a water-soluble stabilizer.

Let’s go!

1. Hoop a tear-away stabilizer and fix a towel using a temporary adhesive spray (photo 1-2).

2. Place Avalon Film water soluble embroidery stabilizer on the top of the towel. You can fix Avalon stabilizer on the guideline with pins or frame (photo 3).

3. Embroider (photo 4).

4. Tear the film away. You can remove remained film using steam or water (photo 5-6).
